About Ravi Raj
Ravi Raj was born on 8 May 1992 in Bajarahiyan, Siwan, Bihar, India, into a Brahmin family with deep roots in music and spirituality. He was exposed to diverse cultural traditions, languages, and devotional practices during his upbringing. His early education was enriched by active participation in music competitions, elocution contests, and cultural activities, helping him develop strong musical and public-speaking skills. Growing up in an environment that valued education, discipline, and devotion, he realized the transformative power of music as a medium for connection and spiritual growth.
Ravi Raj began his professional journey in 2015 when he moved to Mumbai to pursue opportunities in performance and music. He initially worked as a voice-over artist, recording over twenty episodes for the Discovery Channel. He also performed as a choir singer in films such as Raees starring Shahrukh Khan and Airlift starring Akshay Kumar. In addition, he appeared alongside Akshay Kumar in the promotional campaign for Jolly LLB 2. In 2017, Ravi Raj relocated to Delhi and began focusing on devotional music. He collaborated with prominent record labels including Wave Music, Sonotek Cassettes, Chanda Cassettes, Lokdhun Spiritual, Tilak, T-Series, Bhakti Dhaam and other national and international music houses. He gained wide recognition as the singer of the world-famous Ramayan Choupai "Mangal Bhawan Amangal Hari". Over the years, he has sung more than two thousand bhajans, composed over one hundred tracks, and written more than five hundred devotional compositions. With more than ten billion cumulative views across social media platforms, Ravi Raj is celebrated as one of India’s most influential devotional singers. Since 2017, he has served as the Devotional Head at Lokdhun Telemedia Pvt. Ltd. (Wave Music).
